Dr. Amy Tam
Dr. Tam grew up in Michigan and followed the Wolverine path to her earn her undergraduate degree in Biopsychology from the University of Michigan.
She then followed the bright city lights of New York City and obtained her doctor of dental surgery degree from Columbia University. The love for the Big Apple led her to stay with Columbia University to receive her residency certificate in Advanced Education in General Dentistry. Trading her snowshoes for flip flops, Dr. Tam moved to Virginia Beach and has called it home for over 10 years.
Dr. Tam’s love for dentistry and promoting dental health started when wearing braces in college. She has since recognized the importance of sustaining a beautiful, healthy smile and enjoys making a difference in people’s lives. She and her husband, Ray, recently provided dental care during a mission trip to Guatemala. They hope to participate in the amazing experience again.
When not a work, Dr. Tam enjoys spending time with family and friends. As a diehard foodie, she enjoys finding new restaurants and cooking at home. Her guilty pleasure: karaoke!
